About stir bakery
Fresh from Stir’s success in becoming the community hub of CB4 and Cambridge’s ‘Coffee Shop of the Year 2016’, Stir Bakery opened next door to the coffee shop in April 2017.
Our team of skilled bakers individually make every item by hand on site at Stir Bakery, with a wide selection of breads, viennoiserie and other delicious sweet and savoury treats – all available fresh six days a week.
What we do
Stir Bakery’s bread range consists of sourdoughs and other slow fermented breads, all made with organic UK milled flour from Shipton Mill. By focusing on simple ingredients - flour, water, salt, with the occasional addition of seeds, grains and fruit – and a long fermentation time. This gives our bread greater depth of flavour and makes it easier to digest. Also keep an eye out for our special loaves made with grains and flours from local millers.
